Darlene Hines President/CEO of Nostalgia Appraisal Services began the Antiques business in 1995 with her husband Clarence at the parent company, Nostalgia Days Gone By Antiques, an Antique Store and Tea Room in Downtown Brighton for 1o years. . After many request from customers for appraisals and her background in education, Darlene researched how to become a qualified appraiser. She not only wanted to appraise antiques and residential contents, but wanted to be the best at it. The Appraisals grew into a lucrative business is now located in Bloomfield Hills , Michigan . Clients are served throughout Southeastern Michigan and other communities.

With hard work and dedication, Darlene has since become a well-known Certified Appraiser in the community and with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). While serving on ISA's Board of Directors, she is very active in the local and civic community. Her passion is to continue the appraisal business and make it one of the best appraisal companies in the country and to nurture future appraisers into the profession. Her services also includes a mentoring program for future appraisers, seminars, and classes in appraisal theory and product knowledge.
